Two young girls have been killed by their computers, one while updating her Twitter account. This is kind of old news, it happened a couple of months ago, but I just heard about it.
Flavia Boricea, 17, of Romania, was electrocuted in her bathtub. It was reported that she had plugged her laptop cord into an electric outlet, using wet hands, and the laptop slid into the bath water. Her battery had run down as she was updating her Twitter account.
Heather Storey, 25, of Canada, was hit in the back of the neck by her computer during a car accident. The police said she probably would have survived the impact, had the notebook computer not slammed into her neck. They suggest that people secure their computers in their cars, since you never know what might happen.
I wonder if we are going to hear of more incidents like this, as we move forward into the tech age?
