There are hundreds, if not thousands, of cool Twitter apps out there. One of the more simple ones, Tweepi, is one of my favorites.
Tweepi is a web-based Twitter account management tool, and they have just upgraded to a more streamlined version 2. They also have a new premium paid version coming soon.
Basically, you sign in to your Twitter account, and then you can reciprocate, follow, unfollow, and clean up. If you have multiple Twitter accounts, you simply do what you need to do with one account, log out, and then log right back in with your next account.
Reciprocate
If you choose Reciprocate, Tweepi will list everyone who is following you, but you are not following back. You can follow them one-by-one, or in groups of 20 or 40. You get to list them in groups of 40, for one month, if you tweet to your followers about Tweepi. But before the lists of 40 will take affect, you will need to logout and log back in, which only takes a few seconds.
Flush
Flush will list everyone you are following that is not following you back, and allow you to unfollow them, again, in groups of 20 or 40.
Clean Up
Clean Up involves unfollowing people who aren’t adding any value to your account. For example, I will unfollow people who haven’t tweeted for a long time. Some people haven’t tweeted in over 3 years! But I usually unfollow people who haven’t tweeted for over a month. There are also people who follow 1000s of others, but never tweet. These are usually accounts that were auto-created by some software, so there is really no one home.
Geeky Follow
If you use Geeky Follow, you can enter the Twitter name of someone, and all of their followers will be listed. Then you can choose which ones of them to follow. A good way to use Geeky Follow is to follow the people who are following someone “big” in your niche. Use the Twitter search to find people or businesses in your industry that have a lot of followers.
Tips
1. There is a safe-list mechanism. You can mark the people who you don’t want to unfollow, no matter if they are following you or not.
2. Twitter changed their requirements and stopped allowing Tweepi to use one button to select all 20 or 40 people on a page. But you can get around this by selecting the first one, then holding down your Shift key and selecting the last one. This will select everyone on the page.
3. Again, watch for people who haven’t tweeted in a long time. or follow lots of Twitterers, but never tweet themselves. They aren’t going to be interacting with you, they aren’t adding any value to your feed, and they aren’t listening to your tweets.
Tweepi can do much more than this, but these are the basics. Give it a try, and let me know if you love it, too!

That was a big time waste for me, so I just created a plugin to fix that: Tweepi v2 Select All
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tweepi-v2-select-all/
Google Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kpniicpnanbaopgkcagaphglbeaejnph
Enjoy
